About the College

Technical Education promotes manpower developments and equips people with skills that enable them to create, develop and establish industries under various capacities. It plays an important role in developing the nation through the abilities, capabilities, attitudes, knowledge and the way of thinking. It provides skills for a better learning and working environment which are necessary for the citizens of a country. It eminently aims at preparing the students for research in higher education, empowerment in employment and developments in entrepreneurships.
Our Polytechnic College is a State Government Aided Institution that was founded in 1979 by ‘Vidhya Seva Ratna’ Thiru A.D. Jeyaveera Pandian with the initiative of Thiru A.A.D.Jawaharlal Pandian in memory of his beloved better-half, the late Mrs.Dharmambal. Our Former Chairman Late Thiru. A.D. Jeyempandian B.Sc, B.Sc(Tech), was playing a pivotal role in the development of our polytechnic.
It is affiliated to the Directorate of Technical Education and approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. It is managed by A.D.J. Dharmambal Educational Trust and is running efficiently under the continuous guidance, encouragement and support from the management.
The overall management of the institution is vested with the Governing Council under the able leadership Thiru. A.D.Jagadeeshwar, M.B.B.S., as Chairman,    Thiru. K. Jeyaprakash, B.Sc (Agri)., as Treasurer . The Governing council consists of representatives from Directorate of Technical Education, academia and industries.
Our polytechnic college is situated along the main road between Nagapattinam and Nagore and within the town limits of Nagapattinam, Tamilnadu. The campus is imaginatively laid out with a beautiful landscape in a serene and salubrious environment. The campus has the amenities such as Cooperative Stores, Canteen and Xerox centre to cater to the needs of various stakeholders.
The following 3 year full-time diploma programmes are offered under aided stream.

• * Electronics and Communication Engineering
• * Computer  Engineering
• * Instrumentation and Control Engineering

The institution also offers the following Self-financing 3 year full-time diploma courses:

• * Electrical and Electronics Engineering
• * Mechanical Engineering

State-of-the-art infrastructure facilities, adequate laboratories, fully furnished classrooms; well-stacked library, etc provide ample opportunities to the students to hone their skill and knowledge. Students are exposed to the latest technology and recent advancements in their respective field. A Placement Cell is functioning very effectively in our campus. It conducts on and off campus interviews by inviting the leading organizations in to our campus.
Our Institution has become an Institutional Member of the prestigious “The Indian Society for Technical Education’’ since 2004. Under ISTE, we can conduct seminars, conferences and workshops for both staff and students on the emerging field of technologies.
NSS is functioning exceptionally at our campus. Students are given ample opportunities to exhibit their talents in co-curricular and extracurricular activities.
We have a dedicated team of experienced and qualified Teachers, supporting staff and Administrative staff pursues their mission of service to the society and nation.
